Controlled Goods Program (CGP)

The Controlled Goods Program (CGP) is a Canadian industrial security program administered by the Government of Canada’s Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) under the authority of Canada’s Defense Production Act (DPA) and Controlled Goods Regulations (CGRs).

It was established in 2001 in response to the Canadian exemption, which is contained in § 126.5 of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Individuals or organizations that intend to examine, possess or transfer controlled goods within Canada to register in the CGP. The Program is responsible for ensuring that controlled goods, including ITAR controlled defense articles and defense services listed on the U.S. Munitions List (USML), are safeguarded while in custody of the Canadian private sector. Hence, the CGP strengthens Canada’s defense trade controls with the U.S. and contributes to an integrated North American defense industrial base.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is the world’s premier cybersecurity certification. This certification proves that PCe Soltions has what it takes to effectively design, implement and manage a best-in-class cybersecurity program.

This certification was developed by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, also known as (ISC)². The CISSP designation is a globally recognized, vendor-neutral standard attesting to an IT security professional’s technical skills and hands-on experience implementing and managing a security program.

Becoming CISSP-certified requires more than passing the Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification exam. Candidates are required to have a minimum of five years of full-time, hands-on experience in at least two of the eight CISSP domains.

The CISSP meets the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8570.1.

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program that applies to Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors. It is a unifying standard and new certification model to ensure that DoD contractors properly protect sensitive information.

The US DoD recognizes that information security is a foundational requirement for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) supply chain. As such, the US DoD is committed to developing and requiring a consolidated Cybersecurity standard to identify required security practices and controls through the DoD Acquisition process beginning in late 2021. The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification standard is in place to increase security measures from malicious cyberactivity and prevent loss of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
